The original stone frontage of Hirwaun House belies a modern comfortable interior while preserving many of the character features of the house. The original flagstone hallway, gives on either side into a formal drawing room with log fire, bay window and comfortable seating and radio/CD player, or into the relaxed sitting room with TV (free view and DVD/VHS player), bay window and oak floor.
The sitting room opens on to the bright, modern kitchen/dining area with breakfast bar and radio/CD player.It is fully equipped with dishwasher, double oven/grill, 4 ring electric hob with extractor, microwave and fridge/freezer – a space which indulges chefs and diners alike. The dining table comfortably seats 8.
Off the kitchen is a pleasant conservatory ideal for observing the children enjoying the large enclosed mature back garden or appreciating the sunset over aperitifs.The patio offers an alternative al fresco dining area for a barbeque. Also off the kitchen is a laundry room (with ample space for storing beach gear) equipped with a washing machine and a convenient downstairs bathroom with WC, perfect for getting the sand off the children upon return from the beach.
On the first floor there is a spacious double aspect bedroom with king size bed, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with a TV and video, a compact bunk room and a bathroom with WC and power shower. Some of the bedrooms enjoy limited sea views. All rooms except the bunk room can accommodate a cot.
